Deliberations on separate Telangana are continuing and “I can not say when will they end,” Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said today.
The Union Home Minister was in Hyderabad today to attend the passing out parade of the probationary IPS officers at the National Police Academy.Talking to the media on the sidelines of the programme, Shinde said talks with the stake holders on separate Telangana are still on and that there is no deadline set for the conclusion of the deliberations. “We welcome any suggestions or advises for the amicable settlement of the tangle,” he stated.
Shinde made it clear that he did not have any specific information on the decision whether or not separate Telangana state will be formed. “I can not say it at this stage,” is his curt reply for repeated queries from mediapersons. He is of the opinion that time will solve the problem.
The Union Home Minister was also not aware of the letter sent by TDP president n Chandrababu Naidu seeking an all-party meet to discuss the issue. “I am not aware of Naidu’s letter,” he added.
